The New Progressive Alliance
The NPA was founded in 2010 in response to the Democratic Party's complete and final forsaking of its role as the leading voice for Progressive ideals and reform in America. Member groups are six small progressive parties, with some differences but an underlying unity of purpose. The group's issues (from polling members) are full employment, medicare for all, civil rights/human rights/civil liberties, fair trade, and end the wars now. This new politial party will endorse only those candidates who support all of these items. |

|
Move To Amend -- Washington State
This organization supports local efforts all around Washington State to help push forward a Constitutional Amendment to reverse Citizens United. At issue is the ability of corporations to dominate elections through huge donations. Members are still thinking through the exact content of the Amendment: for example, whether to include a provision regulating political donations, or whether to allow Congress to make the determination. |

Transition Western Washington
This is a networking group designed to link Transition Towns in Washington. (Most of the work in the Transition Movement is at the local level.) Transition Towns are towns & cities actively preparing for the different life we will live as oil becomes too expensive to use for most purposes, and as our national economy becomes less complex. |
|
Voluntary Simplicity Study Circles
The Voluntary Simplicity movement asks us to deliberately detach ourselves from the life of consumption and overwork that characterize American culture today. Detachment is a prerequisite for many other movements, such as anti-corporate protests and peace work. |

Washington Fair Trade Coalition
The Washington Fair Trade Coalition works to expose the truth about destructive treaties such as the proposed Trans Pacific Partnership. The TPP undermines access to fundamental medicines by extending monopoly protections for Big Pharma; empowers corporations to sue governments for environmental and health measures they do not like; restricts Internet innovation and increases the surveillance of online interactions, and does many other harmful things. WFTC helps member groups coordinate actions to, hopefully, take it down. |
